Lenovo TS140 Windows 2012 Server for Dental Clinics

If you haven’t already heard Microsoft is ending support of Server 2003 software on July 14, 2015.

What it means if your business is currently operating on 2003 software and is NOT planning to upgrade.

  • SECURITY BREACHES
    • Security patches and updates for Windows Server 2003 will no longer be available. Older servers will be more vulnerable to malicious attacks. Your data, your customers’ data, and your IP will be at risk.
  • NON-COMPLIANCE
    • Businesses subject to regulations, like Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), HIPAA, and PCI, may face stiff penalties and huge fines. In addition, businesses that accept credit cards may lose their merchant privileges, if they continue to run on an unsupported Operating System.*
  • DATA LOSS
    • Critical data may be at risk. FEMA estimates that up to 70% of small to medium businesses that experience catastrophic data loss will fail within 12 months.**
  • APPLICATION FAILURE
    • Applications may not be recoverable if the OS fails. Users will not have access to the tools they need to work, which could paralyze business operations
  • INCREASING OPERATING COSTS
    • Older servers are more expensive to operate and maintain. They fail more often, consume more power, generate more heat, and take up more space than the latest ThinkServers.
