Tom Block, Partner, Business Development and Sales

Mr. Block is a technology veteran with over 25 years experience in computer network design, network security systems and data center management. His diverse background includes army satellite communications, systems architecture, and complex web hosting designs for SUN Microsystems, Visa, H.R. Block, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Capital Group Financial Services.

Stationed around the world, Mr. Block gained a rich background of domestic and international technology engineering and a key understanding of human character. Prior to starting Block Data Systems (BDS), Mr. Block held senior positions at Startups, Universities, and Fortune 500 companies, including positions at Cal Tech, DSET, Genuity and GTE Internetworking. In those posts, he helped charter the position of Senior Sales Engineer. Mr. Block received honors at Utah State University in 1980 and numerous citations for his eleven year military career.

Mr. Block possesses the unique combination of engineering methodology, tenacity and social skills. He founded BDS in April, 2005 and currently oversees all aspects of product engineering, business development, sales and quality assurance.
